01-02-2012 MAG organises another opportunity to lobby MPs in Parliament
MAG, under the Riders Are Voters banner, is organising another Lobby Day
of MPs on *7th March 2012*.
The event will take place from 2pm -4pm in the *Palace of Westminster*,
perhaps better known as The Houses of Parliament.
This is an opportunity to speak to your MP within their place of work
and see inside the historical corridors of power.
You will be fully briefed about the main issues that MAG, as a lobby,
needs to highlight to MPs, such as:
* EU Type Approval regulations (particularly anti-tampering),
* Further restrictions on new riders (mostly DSA related)
* importance of bikes to individual mobility and the economy
It is not an open 'mass lobby', rather a targeted event, which will
involve you first requesting a meeting with your MP on the 7th March and
registering with MAG if you are in a position to attend.
This may mean anything from 10 minutes to half an hour at some point in
the afternoon, but there shall be a central meeting point (Committee
Room 13) where everything is happening over the 2 hour period.
If you could send the attached letter, or your own version, to your MP (
www.ridersarevoter.org if you're not sure who it is) please also
register your possible attendance with the MAG office, including the
name of your MP.
