Farmyard Party 2006 - by Ali

Same venue, new site, dry weather (mostly). Camping on someone’s front lawn has never been so much fun!

Everything was new this year due to the damp problems of last year; the campsite is bigger as is the arena area with more shops! For those of you who are that way inclined. (Clare) presumably that’s why Jonny only let you come for one day. The dyno testing proved popular again this year for some high powered machines and some not so (Ross) I can lend you a bicycle for next year if you want to try again.

With all the worries of the new site, would folk turn up and how we would cope if they did. Everything turned out ok with only a few teething problems even though there was a very large turnout in the end, Harley’s, BMW’s, Yamaha’s, Suzuki’s, Kawasaki’s and Honda’s were all there solos and outfits with the odd trike and caravan sprinkled in for good measure.

With the great turn out of marshals this year for the gate it went very well, without many problems if a little busy again a big thanks to you all for your efforts. Hope to see you next year.

The bands again this year we very good and the late night light show was great, all flashy lights, fog and the big glittery ball. With the main stage, 100% biker, the dance and blues tents there were enough attractions for everyone and all tastes throughout the weekend.

For all of those who missed it this year shame on you, it’s one of the best rallies around and still the best value. See you next year, it’s like “be there or be square” but if you don’t go you know that already don’t you.
